SSIDs disappearing when the router is turned off
Hi,
I noticed that I lose my Wi-Fi connections when I turn off my router (pfSense).
When I say I lose my Wi-Fi connections, I mean that I see the SSIDs of my networks disappear from my devices and reappear when I restart the router !!!
My switches and APs are on the same VLAN (1), I can continue to ping them when the router is off...
I find this very strange and would like to know if this is supposed to be normal behavior?
Thx

Hi @katkar
When the SSID disappeared, what's the LED status of the EAP units?
Are all the EAP units wired to the switches?
Did you enable the Mesh feature on the controller? If yes, please disable it and see if the issue persists.

Hi Vincent ,
- The LEDs on APs stay on
- APs are wired
- And "Mesh" is not Enable
And Bonus
- APs, Switches & the controler have IP "Fixed"

Thanks for the info.
You mentioned that the AP and switches can be ping when the SSID disappeared, may I know which device did you run the ping test? Is it plugged into a switch port?
When the SSID disappeared, please to the the terminal page, and input the command iwconfig, and show us the result.

Hi,
I do the "Ping Test" with two PC (windows 10 & 11) with wired connections, one on SX3800F, the other in SG3428X.
iwconfig give me this result on EAP-683UR
