Hello,

Is it possible to use a standard 1G (non-plus) SFP module in one of the SFP+ ports on the SG3428XPP-M2? The datasheet does mention 1000BASE-X (Gigabit Ethernet over fiber), but I’d appreciate any firsthand experience or confirmation about this configuration.

Hi @lockoom,

I've not had any issues with SFP modules in SFP+ ports (other models), but be sure to manually set the port speed to 1GB on the SFP+ side.  If you're connecting to another switch's SFP port, consider using DAC as that works SFP to SFP+ at 1GB.
