Hi!
I encountered a problem when authorizing guest WiFi users via an external RADIUS server. The problem is that when attempting to authorize a user, there are no requests from the controller to the RADIUS server. The port is specified as UDP 1812.
I found out this problem using Wireshark running on the Omada server. I try to generate requests using a third-party utility - Wireshark sees requests to port 1812. When an attempt is made to authorize a guest on WiFi - there are no requests to port 1812.

Help me, please!

Hello.
The problem has been solved. The problem turned out to be on the side of the provider that provides the authorization service on its external radius server. I had a different HTTP(S) Port for Portal configured than the standard one. And the provider listened and forwarded only to the default ports.

I also look at outgoing requests to port 1812 through the router. There are none on it either.

It is not the controller that makes requests to the radius server, it is the access points that do this. So you have to make sure that the access points have access to the radius server and that the access points are approved on the radius server.

Yes, I already understood that RADIUS requests are sent by access points. The points have access to the server. The RADIUS server accepts requests from all points. Using the router, I was able to find out that the points do not send any requests to the server and port 1812.

what access point do you have?
to test the radius server you can use an old tool that still works called NTRadPing

  @MR.S

It is NTRadPing that I use to check the RADIUS from the server. NTRadPing works, requests are coming and they are visible. But there are no requests from the points!

Points: EAP653 & EAP650-Outdoor.

then I don't know, it's usually pretty straight forward, then you'll have to wait until tomorrow when the tp-link experts are back at work.

Hi  @KSab

Did you enable the Guest Network option for the SSID selected? If yes, you may uncheck it to have another try.
