Guest portal redirect to IP instead of DNS name.
Good day.
I have a software controller version 5.15.8.2.
I am setting up a guest portal to identify users.
The problem is that when connecting to the guest SSID, a redirect occurs in the browser to the portal site. In this case, an SSL certificate error is displayed, because for some reason the link goes to the IP address of the controller, and not to its DNS name!
What I did:
In the Settings -> System Settings -> Access Config -> Controller Hostname/IP section, I specified not the internal IP address, but the DNS name of the controller:
In the Settings -> System Settings -> HTTPS Certificate section, I imported the SSL Wildcard certificate. The controller is accessible by this DNS name and the SSL certificate works, which is confirmed by the browser:
When trying to connect to the required guest SSID on which this portal is activated, the following window pops up first:
If you click Show certificate, it turns out that the attempt is to go to the IP address, not the DNS name:
Hence the pop-up warning about an unsafe network.
How can I fix this? How can I make the redirect to the DNS name, not the IP address?
Thanks!
