How far away is the client from the EAP when it's out of range?
Please adjust the Tx Power (EIRP) of the EAP to High:

@Vincent-TP The cliennt are with in a 10 to 20 ft radius. When i broadcast the SSID they have no problem connecting and staying connected but when i hide the ssid they loose connections after time and cant connect back.

Hi @sdrodgers
Did you change the tx power settings?
Will this issue happen on all wireless clients?
after time and cant connect back.

Any devices still remain connected at that time? If reboot the EAP, will you be able to connect the network?
To confirm if it's a signal strength issue or if the SSID is simply not broadcasting, please do the following test:
Download a WiFi scanner, and with SSID broadcast unchecked, slowly approach the client from the point where the problem occurs, refreshing the scan during that time until you get next to the EAP. Does it consistently fail to scan the SSID of the EAP during this period, or will the SSID show up starting from a certain distance?
If convenient, please test with different mobile phones.

@Vincent-TP I'm still having problems with devices falling off and can not connect back unless i broadcast the ssid's. I swapped out to another vendor and no problems. but i have a number of the TP-Link installed.i have folllowed all you suggestions and everything was already set. so not a prolbem there. again if i broadcast the ssid's everything is fine but i need to hide some ssid's

Hi @sdrodgers
Thanks for your reply.

Could you please let us know the test result for above test?

@Vincent-TP let me be clear if the SSID is not broadcasting you can not see it or connect to it, if it is then you can connect to it. One of my clients is permant mounted and does not move. it is very close to an access point. when it drops off with the ssid hidden it can not connect back as says it it is not in range but in fact is 5 ft away from the AP. if the ssid is hidden you cant connect to it period. but this all works fine if it is broadcasting. this is a issue with the code on these access points and not the access point. i have four of these AP through out this building. as i stated before i used and another brand ap for a test and it works fine. i hide the ssid and it stays with no problem and i can connect to it with the ssid hidden.
