TP-LINK TL-SG108E for Small Lan Segmentation
Region : Greece
Model : TL-SL2210WEB
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Hello everyone,
I want to use an "easy smart" or "smart" switch to segment a small lan. I want to connect an Internet router which doesn't support tagged vlans in port 1, a wireless access point in Port 2 and PC's in ports 3-8.
I want the PC's to be able to access the Internet, the wireless clients the same, but I don't want to allow the wirelless devices to be able to access the PC's.
My Vlan configuration would be as follows:
Vlan 1: Ports 1-8 Untagged
Vlan 2: Ports 1,2 Untagged
Vlan 3: Ports 1,3,4,5,6,7,8 Untagged
Port 1: PVID 1
Port 2: PVID 2
Port 3-8: PVID 3
Since my knowledge in Vlans is rather limited, I hope that this configuration will work :-).
Can someone confirm that this configuration is supported by TP-LINK TL-SG108E or do I need to use a "Smarter" switch?
Thanks very much in advance,
Theodore.
