Model: ER707-M2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20240822 Rel.52946

in setting up the VPN as a client on the router, the menu requires the VPN server IP address. VPN companies provide only URL or domain as it is easier to hop around. the router ER707 accepts only IP addresses and not URL. Therefore the router cannot be used with VPN client products available on the market. There are multiple attempts to access my network daily. i have been able to thwart them. THe addition of the VPN client will make the network next to impossible to be hacked

Hi @bellocaro

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for posting your feature request. It has been added to our roadmap.

We want to be transparent that this feature is not currently a high priority, which means it may take some time before it's available. We encourage you to subscribe for future firmware releases or visit the related community page for the latest news.

If this feature is already implemented on other models with pre-release or beta firmware, and your model hardware specs can support it, you can expect its arrival on your model via an upcoming beta, pre-release, or official firmware. (Note that official firmware with major adaption for the controller version may be released without a pre-release or beta on the community.)
While we understand the desire for specific dates, we are unable to provide a timeline or ETA for firmware releases. To stay informed, please subscribe to the thread. Get the Latest Firmware Releases for Omada Routers Here - Subscribe for Updates.

Generally, if a feature is supported on our entry-level ER605 model, and you are using a higher-tier model, your request is likely to be fulfilled. However, hardware support is not guaranteed and depends on your model's specific hardware capabilities and software resource utilization. Please refer to the firmware release notes for definitive information.
