CPE710: route to client side ?

I got a pair of CPE710 to build a wireless bridge. I set them up as per the book: an AP on the "has network" side and a client on the "want network" side. Result is that from the client side it works perfectly and I can access everywhere on the other side. From the AP side, I cannot ping or access any of the machines on the client side LAN, wih the exception of the client CPE710 webserver, and nothing else. Using the client CPE710 webserver "traceroute" tool to an IP on its LAN results in "5 * * * Requests timed out." Looks like there is no default route from "bridge" to "lan" but I didn't find any setup for that ???
Please help me to make this connection work "as a long cable" (using your own words).

Hi @mojoverde
What kind of device is plugged into the LAN port of the client CPE? Is it a NAT router?
If yes, this is normal since all access from the AP side will be blocked by the NAT of the router.
You may change a layer2 access point instead, for example, EAP650.

Hi @Vincent-TP
You were right indeed, the problem was with the workstation I was using for tests. The CPE710 bridge is now installed and works exactly as expected (transparently).
Many thanks for your enlightenments. This thread can be closed. é

Hi @Vincent-TP
On the client side "LAN" ( rj45) there is only one workstation connected that I am using for tests (no router at all). This workstation gets an IP from my dhcp across the 2 CPE710 link and then it perfectly connects to the internet.. But it cannot be pinged nor ssh ed from the AP side branch.
You may change a layer2 access point instead, for example, EAP650.
Are you saying that the CPE710 is not suitable for this requirement ? I'd thought it was a configuration issue ???

CPE710 is the recommended installation for your situation.
If the CPE710 are configured as access point and client mode, they will work at layer 2 and you should be able to ping the station from the AP side.
To find out the reason, please check if there is any firewall settings or other anti-virus software on the station which may block the access.
Or you can plug a different device into the client CPE to have a try.
