Bug: Controller v5.15.8.12 won't let you change password if your _current_ password is weak

I set up the an OC300 with a simple admin password in the initial dialog, just 12 characters, letters and numbers, but no special characters. Once it was initialised and firmware updated, I am trying to change the admin password to a more secure password. However the controller won't let me change the password! It won't let me change to a new password, because the _current_ password doesn't meet the password requirements 😂 I know that - that's why I am trying to change it! (screenshot below)
Is there a workaround for this bug?

Thanks for your feedback.
We would like to test this locally.
Would you please tell us the previous version of the OC300 before this update?

Hi @Vincent-TP I didn't note the exact version, but I did notice it was a 2022 firmware version. From my memory it was 1.8.2. The setup steps showed the old blue UI etc.
OC300(UN)_V1_1.8.2 Build 20220411
The dummy password I used during setup, that I now can't change, was 12 characters, with just lower case letters and digits. As I remember the setup UI required 8 characters minimum, but no other restriction.
However, regardless of the old firmware age, the current firmware should not place any restriction on the _current_ password. There is no point in that. Only the new password should be checked right?

Hi @Vincent-TP I installed firmware v1.29.3 (Built-in Omada SDN Controller V5.15.20.31) and that did indeed restore the ability to change my password! I look forward to the stable release.
