uTorrent through specific WAN
Region : Sweden
Model : TL-R470T+
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version :
ISP : Glocalnet
Hi
I have 2 WANs. One has a monthly data restriction so i dont want to use that for uTorrent.
I would like to use both WANs when browsing the web and all other things besides uTorrent.
So how to do that?
I started trying out with "Policy routing" towards a certain port on the computer. It didnt work.
Later learned that torrent use multiple ports for incoming traffic.
So the solution was to give the computer a static ip.
That way u could add a new ip to the network card so it has two.
In advanced settings i uTorrent u can tell the program to use the secondary ip by changing "Net.bind_ip" and "Net.outgoing_ip".
Then tell your router to point that ip to the preferred WAN.
It now works like a charm.
