Made an account just to reply to this thread.
The TL-SG1024DE is in fact NOT 802.3ad compliant. Tested with a few devices but primarily with a Synology DS415+ and the bond just fails to establish. Works perfectly with a HP Procurve 2810-48G (J9022A) so it's not a failing on my part.
Thought this would be useful to someone as this thread is the first result in Google for "SG1024DE 802.3ad".
