Model: ER8411
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20241121 Rel.21021

BWG320-505 (Ip passthrough since that is all that POS supports) -->Intellinet10G Media converter-->passive DAC cable-->ER8411 --->passive DAC-->SX3008F--->TP-Link TL-SM5310-T --->Marvell 10Gbps RJ45

Uploads at 2.5GBps/DL...Between 50-400Mbps.   It should be 2.5 synchronous.  Now if I bypass the 8411 I get great speeds without issue.  I have tried everything under the sun.  I upgraded the firmware, completed a full factory restore, tried flow control, load balancing, changing DNS settings, resetting all the other hardware.   Now I know the RJ4510Gbps SFP+ get got and have issues, which is why I setup the passive DAC.   but I have 2 of those cards, and a Gtek and get the same results.   My uploads are just horrible.  It is driving me nuts.  If I iperf between my main workstation and my server I am getting full speeds without an issue. But uploading I get craptastic speeds that make no sense.

I have a triple-failover setup (ATT-->Xfinity-->Starlink) but even when completing a factory reset and not connecting anything I still get bad speeds.

I currently have the setup in standalone mode, as the Omada software removes several options, including flow control.      I have seen multiple people complain about this issue, but no real solid solution and TP link direct email support is too slow.   I am still waiting on them to reply to my last question.

IT is very late so I apologize it anything is typed wrong..   I am just at my wits end on this considering the money invested.

Hi @SolApathy

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Speed issue would be the hardware peripherals.

If you connect a PC that supports 1G, run the iperf?

PC---WAN_Router_LAN---SX3008F---PC.

Is there a problem in iperf result?

I want to know if this would work or not. To determine if this is a hardware issue or not.

@Clive_A when I run iperf interanlly between machines I get full bandwidth with no issues    If I switch to 1G port on the 8411 I get 1Gbps internally, but to WAN I am gettting 500/500 max.

Did you try what I suggested?

I don't get it. Do you mean the test I recommend, you WAN > LAN only gets 500? Or your Internet speed test on the public test server is 500?

If you say so, the latter case, this could narrow down to the ISP or DNS issue.

PC->PC no problem -- full bandwidth.

I have 3 ISP's.  All three show poor performance.

On my server I have even completely bypassed the SX3008F switch, opting to go directly from the server with a 1.5m 10G DAC cable directly to the 8411 10G port.   Poor speeds are still present.   I swapped out my NIC and the cable just to take an additional step and still have the same results.

WAN > LAN.

PC A > PC B. I mean this kind of setup.

Not PC to PC in LAN. LAN switch does not require NAT and it should work 99% okay.

I have repeated I need iperf result not public servers'.

And if you have enabled anything like DPI, IDS or bandwidth control. They all affect the NAT traffic.

procedure to run an iperf between the modem and the server through the 8411 when the modem only has 1 fiber connection and 1- 5Gbps RJ45 port?   The modem is in an IP passthrough mode (there is no true bypass mode for this device.)

Thanks.
