Background:

 

In a recent firmware upgrade, certain VIGI cameras now support some new features like Web Playback/Alarm Mode/Log Server/Detection Rule Frame/Polygon Detection Region/Scene Mode/VIGI Cloud VMS Binding. This article aims to help people properly configure them.

 

This Article Applies to:

 

VIGI cameras support the described features.

 

Configuration Steps:

 

Web Playback:


1. Navigate to WebUI → Playback
2. Select the date and time at the bottom, or drag the cursor in the time bar to find the target playback video.

 

 

Arabic Language Support:


1. Click the language selection button at the top-right of the login interface
2. Choose Arabic language and the web page will redirect to the Arabic language style page
 

 

 

Customizable Alarm Modes:


1. Navigate to Settings→ Event→ Active Defence
2. Find the “Custom” button in the light alarm or sound alarm and select Custom mode
3. Configure more attributes of the light or sound alarm
 

 

 

Log Server:


1.    Navigate to Settings→ Network Settings→ Log Server
2.    Enable the log server and set the parameters of the server
3.    Click “Test” to check the connection between your camera and server
4.    Finish the configuration and apply the settings
Note: You should have a server for HTTP or HTTPS to be the log server and receive information.

 

 

Detection Rule Frame:


1.    Navigate to Settings→ Event→ Smart Frame
2.    Enable detection rule and other types of smart frame
3.    Click “Apply” to save and apply your settings.
4.    The smart frame of objects triggering specific detection rules will turn red
Notes:
1.    The detection rule frame currently supports smart events including Line Crossing Detection, Intrusion Detection, Region Entering Detection, Region Exiting Detection, and Object Abandoned/Removal Detection.
2.    The detection rule can be displayed in the web preview. In the preview page, find the display smart frame switch at the right-bottom of the preview page, and select the types of smart frame you want to see. It only takes effect for the current preview.

 

 

 

Polygon Detection Region:


1.    Navigate to Settings→ Event
2.    In detection area settings, you can draw polygon regions as your detection areas.

 

 

Scene Mode:


1.    Navigate to Settings→ Camera→ Display→ Image
2.    Select the scene mode that you want and the camera will adjust image settings automatically

 

 

VIGI Cloud VMS Binding:

 

1. Navigate to Settings→ Network Settings→ Platform Access→ VIGI Cloud VMS
2. Bind the TP-Link ID that has been registered in VIGI Cloud VMS, and choose the organization to connect
