Hey all, new to TP-link omada so bear with me on this struggle bus...

Just purchased all new equipment to make a mesh network at my home, I have a OC200 controller, 5x EAP225's and 1x EAP225 Outdoor. Starting off with just the outdoor and one indoor unit to find good locations, but after going through a bunch of youtube vids on setting up the OC200, and doing exactly as they say, I cant seem to ever see a AP on the controller app or PC.

I have my shaw gateway modem, connected to a generic 16 port poe switch, OC200 and the ap's connected to the switch. I am able to connect to the OC, and to either AP directly. When using the app, I can go to the "Standalone Tab" and create a mesh network, using one AP, but then I am unable to find the second unit. If I switch to standalone mode, I can see the other unit but not the mesh connected one.

I have tried port forwarding as stated for OC to see the AP's, but nothing changed, factory reset everything multiple times to try again, updated to latest for everything, but nothing changes. WTH am I missing here??

Thanks for any help!

  @Kustom

Is the shaw gateway modem have the DHCP feature?

We need a router in the network.

For your case, please refer to the following link to do some troubleshooting:

What should I do when the Omada Software Controller (V4) fails to discover the devices?

  @Vincent-TP

yea the shaw gateway modem is a complete unit with router and firewall built in.  I've ordered a ER605 now and I'll do some configuring over the weekend to hopefully solve the issue.
