OpenVPN profile disappeared - but still somewhere (port in use error)

hi all,
I've just realised, that OpenVPN server entry disappeared from my site:
but the settings are apparently stored somewhere and are hidden, because when I try to re-create the OpenVPN server, I get following error message while saving:
how to fix this? Controller is software one running on Windows, version 5.15.8.2.
restarting router nor controller doesn't help....

Hi @Clive_A,
I've just realised, that on secondary site all Port Forwarding entries are gone, some of them still working on router and some not........
after defining the entries again, all is working fine again....
looks that there is some deeper problem with the controller.
Current controller version is: 5.15.20.13, running on VMware VM on Windows Server 2022 as the only application

I am not sure if it is a problem with your environment.
So far, no issue reported. I am curious about your upgrade process from the previous controller. So on the previous one, it works all perfectly, but after you upgraded the controller, it became this?
I think we still need a remote. Reply to my email about the schedule so we can look into this?

Hi @ZoloNN
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Dev presumed that this is a problem with your controller performance. It's too weak, which it loses certain config.
Don't have any better ideas. This might need to be restored or from scratch.
Try a controller with the better performance. Restore the backup?

@ZoloNN I had the exact same problem. After some troubleshooting, we concluded that the disappearing OpenVPN configuration was caused by the auto-backup function. If you have this function enabled, it might be the issue.
I initially turned off auto-backup via the UI, but later discovered that it was still running—there were execution records in the logs. To work around this, I set it to run only once per year. This prevented the VPN configuration from disappearing until the controller was rebooted, which triggered the issue again.
Today, I updated the controller to OC200(UN)_V2_2.20.3_pre-release (Built-in Omada SDN Controller 5.15.20.31), then rebooted it and the VPN config dissapeard rom UI.
Hope this helps!

Hi @Zazi,
at the time, when the VPN entries disappeared no automatic backup was scheduled.
As I've not checked the VPN entries for some time, I can't say at which version upgrade they disappeared. I use windows version of controller, where lot of upgrades were released in last months.
But if you experience the same stuff while upgrading the hardware one, it sounds definitely like platform independent software problem. @Clive_A can you please check this with developers? Thanks in advance.

Read what I wrote earlier. Same reply from the dev as I asked.
I asked you to remote desktop with us in the ticket email, which we could look into this.
We don't have the reproduction or environment for this. It does not make progress if we don't have the environment.
For anyone who reads this, to any issues, if we don't have a reproduction with your config, we require your environment for debug. Or expect no progress on your case.

Hi @Clive_A,
Re remote desktop: I was several times asked for my time zone and I've always replied with GMT+1 (starting April 1st: GMT+2)
And sorry, but I've never ever got any real invitation to live RDP session.

I wrote that we are available during the workdays. What about your time? I know your time zone. I mean the specific time that works for you.
Then I need to find a time that's okay for both of us.

Hi @Clive_A,
I'm usually in my office from 9:00 till 18:00, but if needed I can be available from 8:00.
And what about your time zone?
