Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.34.2 Build 20250110 Rel.75707

Hi,

Recently, I keep getting random disconnects on EAPs controlled by an AC200. (They were fine before.) I have 5 outdoor EAP225s, 3 of them have HW v1.0 running 5.1.6, and 2 are HW v3.0 running 5.1.10, which I believe are the latest FWs.

The EAPs are being used normally until the clients just lose connection. I would check the OC200 GUI and always I could see the device EAP status as DISCONNECTED. It would stay this way indefinitely. They is no way from the GUI to restore, I need to manually power cycle the actual EAPs in order to get them back, at which point the GUI shows the normal sequence of adoption/provisionning, which is always successful anyways. This has been happening at a frequency of about once or twice weekly, and it's been several weeks. On the logs there is not much to see, only the event when the device was disconnected and reconnected.

As you may imagine, this is so much hassle as some physical locations of the EAPS are a bit difficult to access.

I have searched the posts here and could not find a similar scenario. Please kindly help. Thank you.

Here are some steps to help troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

1. **Check Power Supply**:

Ensure that the power supply to the EAPs is stable. If they are powered via PoE, check the switches, cables or injectors for any issues.

2. **Interference and Environment**:

Ensure that there is no new source of interference or environmental changes that could affect the wireless signal.

3. **Isolation Testing**:

If possible, isolate one of the problematic EAPs to a different network or location to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is environmental or specific to the device.

You mentioned that a manual reboot can fix this issue, you can create a reboot schedule for the EAPs to avoid manually reboot.

Thanks for the reply. As per your suggestions:

1. They are fine. Nothing in the setup has been changed.

2. Same above. There is nothing new in the radio network at home.

3. I have swapped locations and there is nothing conclusive about the results. There are 5 APs all in all, and the disconnects are not happening only on specific APs but rather on all of them. That's why I suspect it's more a controller issue.

I have daily scheduled reboots for all of them. Despite this (1am for some, 1:30am for others), the APs still are not stable, rebooting at random times during the day. It's actually happening more frequently now, at least once daily.

Please help. Thank you.

I downgraded the 2 v3 EAP225's to FW to 5.1.6 so that all 5 are now running the same version. We'll see how stable this goes...
