Model: EAP613
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.0

I have a Bose Smart Speaker that is connected to 5G WLAN broadcast from an EAP-613.

Every so often (2-3 weeks) the Smart Speaker appears to lose connection even though Omada shows connection is up. This requires me to do a soft reset to get the Smart Speaker to reconnect.

Previously I had a EAP-225 and had to do this much more frequently (nearly every week) but since upgrading to the EAP-613 it has been less frequent but still I still need to force a reconnect.

I am rebooting all my APs (2 x EAP-613s, 1xEAP-610) every week. Any thoughts on what else I can try?

I have no problem with Amazon Alexa devices so presume it's down to the WiFi client chipset the Bose device is using.

Hi  @kasa_user

Please check if the following option ARP-to-Unicast Conversion is enabled. If yes, you may disable it to have a try:

 Hi @Vincent-TP

Thanks for the response.

So I don't have ARP-to-Unicast Conversion enabled on the SSID the Bose Speaker is using. However, I do have it enabled on another SSID. Will it make a difference if I disable it on the other WLAN SSID?

  @kasa_user

No need.

Do you have other WLAN devices, such as a wireless router? If yes, you may connect the speaker to that device and check if the issue persist.

Since this issue only happens with the speaker, we suspect this is more related to the speaker.

In the meantime, you may change the WPA  mode of the SSID, test different modes to find the best for the speaker.
