Hello Everyone,

Good day.

Have you noticed frequent disconnection logs of devices in the Omada controller? We always get this kind of log and it seems to create missing logs in our ISP Dashboard also. The internet seems fine at the time of the logs but it bothers us that it may create a problem in the future. We schedule restart of devices almost monthly to refresh everything and replace the LAN cables with machine-fabricated cables that interconnect the networking devices. It started last year and we thought firmware updates would resolve the issue. But here we are still encountering the same problem. I've already posted this before but did not find a concrete solution. Hoping someone has resolved this kind of issue in their own network. Here are the sample screenshots below.

Hi  @iosnetadmin

Your SDN devices (gateway routers, switches, or EAP) may have lost contact with the controller if your controller log is filled with messages stating that they are often disconnecting and reconnecting. The following procedures can be used to verify that the controller and SDN devices are connected, even while the internet is unaffected:
    1) Examine the quality of the wire that is plugged into the controller;
    2) Examine the controller's hardware;
    3) Replace the controller's power source to ensure a steady power supply;
    4) Update the firmware version to the latest.

Or, you can turn off the Device Connected notification if there is no Internet interruption at all.

Hello @Vincent-TP

Thank you for your reply. I've done those steps already. Weirdly, it keeps coming back. I do ping tests on our controller, gateway, and internet daily, and if there are event logs created that point to disconnection, the ping continues to be normal. Does that mean it's just a bug? All of our device firmware are updated.
