-41018 Unauth failed, try again when network recover.

Greetings TPLink Community,
Do you happen to encounter this error -41018 when un-authorizing an client?
Most of the times un-auth is speedy, but when this happens, it is making my controller really slow, although I am not reaching more than 20% of my CPU process.

Hi @Ruu
The error -41018
typically indicates an authentication failure, which in this case is occurring when you try to unauthorize a client. This can happen due to various reasons, including network connectivity issues, controller configuration problems, or temporary glitches.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Check Network Connectivity
-
Ensure that your SDN Controller has a stable network connection. Intermittent connectivity issues can cause such errors.
-
Verify that there are no firewall rules or network policies blocking the communication between the controller and the client.
2. Client Status
-
Ensure that the client you are trying to unauthorize is correctly connected and recognized by the controller.
-
Sometimes, clients might be in a state where they cannot be properly unauthenticated due to a previous error or timeout.
3. Firmware and Software Updates
-
Ensure that your SDN Controller and all associated devices are running the latest firmware and software versions.
4. Controller Performance
-
Although you mentioned that your CPU usage is not exceeding 20%, it’s still worth monitoring the overall performance of the controller.
-
Ensure that there are no other processes or tasks running in the background that might be affecting the controller’s responsiveness.
5. Retry the Operation
-
Sometimes, simply retrying the unauthorization operation after a short period can resolve the issue. Temporary glitches can cause such errors, and a retry might succeed.
