Pharos WBS210/510 replacement PtMP

I am preparing Pharos WBS solution for PtMP surveillance where CPE range upto 5Km distance and more than 4 CPE under one WBS. I came to know that WBS210/510 are EOL and no replacement mentioned under official list. Kindly support.

Hi @Syed-Masood
Yes, WBS products are end of life.
You may consider CPE710 devices.

Hi @Syed-Masood
Combining a CPE710 in AP mode with CPE610 or CPE510 in client mode can work as a solution.
Recommendations
-
For Wide-Area Coverage: If you need to cover a large area (e.g., 360 degrees), consider using multiple CPE510s in client mode with a CPE510 in AP mode. This setup can provide better coverage due to the wider beamwidth of the CPE510.
-
For Long-Range, High-Speed Point-to-Point Connections: Use the CPE710 in AP mode and CPE710 in client mode. This combination leverages the high speed and long range of the CPE710 and the better signal reception of the CPE610.
One more big difference: CPE710 has gigabit LAN port, while CPE510 and CPE610 are limited to 100M.

@Vincent-TP I'm using a CPE510 as a Repeater, howerver, based on what you wrote I'm limited to 100M. Any TP-Link product you suggest that can be used as a 1GIG bridge? My configuation is CPE710 AP-Router and then to expand that signal further to another location, I'm using a CPE510 Repeater mode and then another CPE710 behind it to further expand the signal to other clients.

Hi @EReid20
You can consider replace the CPE510 with EAP215-bridge KIT.
Topology would be:
CPE710---EAP215 KIT_1 )))((( EAP215 KIT_2
