CPE710 should be able to connect to CPE510 as a Client.
Firstly, let’s try to troubleshoot the issue with the 710 as a client. Here are a few steps you can follow:
-
Ensure Firmware is Up-to-Date: Please check if all your devices (710, 605, and 510) are running the latest firmware. You can find the firmware update instructions on our official website or through the device’s management interface.
-
Check SSID and Password: Make sure that the SSID and password of the 510 (which is set as the AP) are correctly entered on the 710. Any mismatch in these settings can prevent a successful connection.
-
Channel and Bandwidth Settings: Ensure that the channel and bandwidth settings on the 510 and 710 are compatible. Sometimes, changing the channel on the 510 to a less congested one can help.
-
Reset Devices: Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve connectivity issues. Please reset both the 510 and 710, and then try to connect again. Remember to reconfigure the settings after resetting.
-
Check for Interference: Ensure that there are no other devices or environmental factors causing interference. Try moving the devices closer together to see if that improves the connection.
If after trying these steps the 710 still won’t connect as a client, you can consider switching the roles of the devices. Setting the 710 as an AP and the 510 as a client might be a viable alternative. However, this should be a last resort, as it’s always better to use devices in their intended roles.
