Model: TL-SG2428P
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: SG2428P v5.20

Hi,

Network hardware:

1.28PORT switch- SG2428P v5.20

2.Router- ER605 v2.0

3. Hardware Controller - OC200

4. AP - 3X EAP235-Wall(US) v1.0

5. AP - 2X EAP265 HD(EU) v1.0

VLANs:

1. VLAN_1 - 192.168.0.x is Infrastructure (AP's Switches and so on)

2. VLAN_10 - 192.168.10.x is PC ( where all known PCs are connected)

3. VLAN_20 - CAMs

4. VLAN_30 - IOTs

In my office an Eth cable connected from port 10 of the switch to EAP235 192.168.0.8 ( VLAN_1 and IP was defined successfully).

On port Eth3 of EAP235, a PC is connected and should be connected to VLAN_10 and have a static IP of 192.168.10.14, but no mather what I did it gets 192.168.0.9.

I have many other clients, wired and wireless connected to network and assigned VLANs properly, including a Proxmox server that share all VLANs to VMs successfully.

This is the first instance of connecting a wired PC from an AP, while assigning VLAN fails.

Please help :)

Hi @guyd2,

I'm not sure if the 235 Wall works like the 615 Wall, but on my 615 Wall (latest firmware) I'm able to assign port profiles on the APs ports just like a switch.  I think the default would be to use the native vlan on the switch where the AP is connected which I think is what you're seeing.

  @guyd2

only if I knew that PVID stands for Port Vlan ID, or in my case, just entering "10", will set it as Vlan_10, PCs, and will enable my original VLAN10 and Static IP for that PC :)

Cheers @D-C

@guyd2, it would be better in you could assign the profile exactly like the switch.  I just added that as a request/suggestion if you want to up-vote it.

@guyd2, just thinking that instead of putting in a PVID, you could just assign a switch profile to define the native vlan (aka PVID) and the tagged members. It looks like tplink moderator didn't think it could work that way.
