  @Kimberley_j87 it would still work for one device if ONT is plugged into LAN port and not WAN.

  @D-C sorry I'm so confused! Should the OTP be plugged into the WAN or LAN to use the switch?

  @Kimberley_j87 ONT needs to be plugged into the router's WAN port to use more than one device which is what you want.

  @D-C this is how it is currently. Do I need to move anything? Can take better picture if needed.

  @Kimberley_j87 that router's is a beauty. 🙄

This all looks correct.

  • The yellow wire goes from ONT #2 (GE1) to Router #6.
  • Blue wire goes to the lounge (I assume)

What's the flat white wire?  Does that go from ONT #1 (POTS1) to Router #7 (LAN 4) or is this where your laptop is plugged in?

  @D-C

the white wire is our eufy home hub. It's straight from home hub to router.  and yea blue cord is the lounge.

so if it's all set up correct do you have any other suggestions as to why we can't run two devices off the switch? Or any other solutions? I only purchased yestso can take back and get something else.

Hi @Kimberley_j87

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

We just purchased this. We can only run one device off it. When we have the tv plugged in the switch works fine and as soon as we plug the computer in we lose internet on the tv. If we have the computer plugged into to switch it works fine. But if we plug the tv into the switch we lose internet on the tv. The computer and tv work fine without the switch and plugged directly into the internet port in the wall.

help please?

Based on the description, it seems that the TV line has some configuration on it and this is a dummy switch that serves to extend the Ethernet ports. It doesn't provide any further configuration on the VLAN which might be related to the situation in your case where a TV box is used.

You might wanna separate the connection between the TV line and the computer line.

Regular Ethernet for the computer does not contain any special settings.

And most importantly, you should have a uplink to the router(LAN) which it supplies the Internet to the switch(any one of the ports).
