I am trying to create some basic forwarding rules so that I can get access to services and configure backups. But the port forward does not allow me to create any more than one then the one I have created doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

you cannot port forward source port more than once on the same WAN ip, you have to change port like in this example

  @Djw1973 Ok so how can I see if the rules are being hit as the logs don't show anything

Log :-) there is no logging on it that I know of. but you can look under insights and Port Forwarding Status there you will see something
but it should works, if you have multiple wan interfaces then choose which wan you want to use, I don't know if it works with all
