Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.14 Build 20241205 Rel.64944

Hello,

I have reviewed the forum rules and ensured that I am following them by searching for related posts before creating this thread. I hope I have placed my question in the correct category and used an appropriate title.

I am currently working on monitoring the Loopback Detection feature on my TL-SG2428P v1.0 using SNMP. The firmware version is 1.1.14 Build 20241205 Rel.64944. I referred to the provided MIB file, specifically the section related to TPLINK-PORTLOOPBACKDETECTION-MIB, but so far, I have not been able to identify the correct OIDs to retrieve the Loopback Detection status for all ports.

The SNMP walk successfully detects the main enterprise OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863, but the specific subtree for Loopback Detection (1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.80) does not return any values. I have enabled Loopback Detection globally on the switch and confirmed its functionality via the web interface, but it seems the corresponding SNMP OIDs are either not responding or unavailable. (Downloaded: https://support.omadanetworks.com/de/product/sg2428p/?resourceType=download )

My Questions:

  1. Could you clarify which OIDs I should use to:
    • Check if Loopback Detection is enabled for each port.
    • Retrieve the Loopback Detection state or status for all ports (e.g., whether a loopback is detected).
  2. Is there any additional configuration required on the switch to make these OIDs accessible via SNMP?

I would appreciate any guidance or example queries for this model. If there is a known limitation regarding SNMP access for Loopback Detection on this device, please let me know.

Thank you for your time and support!

Hi @mwfis

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

For all the supported OID, see this:

If the described node is not available in the datasheet, it does not support it.

Loopback detection is enabled, there is no additional config.

You should check what 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.80 means. From MIB, I see several things can be read.
