Questions regarding ES210GMP
Questions regarding ES210GMP

I'm considering buying an ES210GMP, does this have the same problem as the ES205GP? The ES205GP doesn't show IP from clients connected with cable. Is it a bug that will be fixed or is it by design.
ES210GMP is not in the list of models on the forum

OK, that is interesting. This is really strange especially as TP link have stated it wont collect client IP details.. I wonder if the fact it's unlink device is a non TPLINK Omada router, I wonder if the switch is working in like an unmanaged mode ?? I know if I connect other brand switches the IP address shows. The main reason I wanted this switch was so I could see both client IP's and the total traffic to the switch... I have been dealing with this via my own support ticket and nothing seems to be getting done about it. I feel I've been sold a dud product.... . @MR.S
Because that's UBNT router and UBNT collects them. UBNT web GUI, right? @MR.S
The switch does not maintain ARP, and the controller does not collect it because it does not support ARP.
How it works is explained.
Feature request: Easy Managed switch should collect client IP and report to the controller

Hi @MR.S
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
The kernel should be the same for this series unless there is a major update to fix the mentioned issue.

Yes, I bought one of these not knowing of the issue and are very disapointed about it. The Client IP's are not shown and deep packet inspection on connected clients wont work.

My tplink ER8411 supports ARP.. all my other managed and unmanaged switches work. This is a problem specifically with these eaay managed ones @Clive_A

Literally, read and understand what I mean in that link. It does not support, even if in the future with an improvement, it relies on the router and adaptation is required for the controller.
I don't think I have to iterate.
What's the point in saying it supports ARP? I know, but it's not the same thing.

yes it was probably the unifi router that kept track of the ip addresses. it was the unifi console that I showed a picture of. so now we just need the Omada routers to do the same as unifi so that we see the ip addresses.

Thanks for the update. It's a shame because my client IPs from two other omada switches get recorded and displayed properly. Only difference us they are l2+ switches. There's def an issue when an omada labelled switch can't do a basic function like list IPs even if it is an easy managed @MR.S

That'll be the future firmware and improvement. The devs are already aware of this feedback and that's the solution they propose. The system now uses the ARP table to learn about the clients. Well, the ES does not support it. So there is no reading about the client IPs. Only SG2000 or above can do that.
