Model: ER707-M2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2

I'm in USA. I ordered an ER707-M2, shipped from Amazon, sold by a company named "Woot". I received hardware version 1.2. Yes, I know the difference between hardware and firmware, and ironically it also came with firmware version 1.2 installed, but like I said it is *hardware* version 1.2 as well. On the sticker, on the box, and on the web login page. It looks like only hardware version 1 & 1.6 should be sold in USA, and version 1.2 looks like it may be for Australia (discovered by Googling around).

I'm tempted to keep it since the stupid vendors will probably just send me the same thing again if I return it, but am unable to even download firmware updates for it since when I try to access the firmware download page for hardware 1.2, it detects my USA IP address and force redirects me to the USA page where only 1 & 1.6 are available...

Any way to fix this via a firmware flash or something, or do I need to return it and try again from a different vendor?

Thanks for any info!

Hi @IMissPalmOS

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Huh, you know the hardware version. So it is hardware-coded.

Not to mention they are the same in performance. Not sure what you are looking for. It is the same as the regular 1.0 in general.

I have explained this part in the KB that is about the hardware and firmware.

Woot seems to be a second-hand vendor. Not sure but heard about it. Recommend you get it from Amazon.com or other sources.
