Adoption fails

Adoption fails

Adoption fails
Adoption fails
Monday

Dear all,

out of a sudden 5 out of 8 devices on a remote site - after months of smooth operations - show an "adoption" message (router, 2 switches, 1 EAP). No change over hours. No idea what happened, no configuration works on the network from my side.
The site is remote and unattended. Will need to go there when time.

What can I do? Devices not accessible.
Will for sure unplug and reconnect when there. Anything else?

Thanks!

Br's Thomas

Hi  @Eg64

What kind of controller are you using? Is the controller on the same site as the ER8411's?

If the controller is on the local site as the ER8411's, you need to check the controller's Internet access, and the connection between the controller and the SDN devices.

If the controller is at a remote site as the ER8411's, you should focus on the ER8411's Internet access.

Thanks, Vincent, will test when on-site.

My OMADA environment is enabled by a software controller, most recent official version, and runs on a Windows server.

Controller is not located at the site of the devices showing the "being adopted" message.

Other internet-based services run on the remote site perform well and are reachable from outside.

Hi  @Eg64

Before you go to the site, please check the controller's site; we need to make sure the gateway router on the controller's site has opened port 29810-29816.
