ER605 lost WAN & LAN connectivity and disconnected from controller
Internet connection dropped.
Logged in to local controller OC200, ER605 router showing as disconnected from controller.
Could ping it's IP address but when tried to browse to local logon page for the router, it wouldn't load at all.
Power cycled it and after it restarted connection was restored.
Looking at the history it showed a significant memory spike before the connection was dropped.
Can you please raise a ticket for this and let me know what other details you may need? Currently the router is on a fortnightly reboot schedule, I've upped this to weekly but this shouldn't be happening in the first place.

Hi,
Are you using any particular service on that device? Like VPN client\server option? DPI? IDS?
Cheers.

Did you change the port of the router? What's the URL you used?
Ping is working which means the network is still active. That contradicts to your title which it loses the LAN connection.
Did you ping the external DNS server to verify its WAN status?

What features have you configured on the controller?
Do you examine if there is any loop?
This should not happen all of a sudden. At least you made changes recently then it occurs. Recall if you have made any modifications.

No change to router ports/config. The URL was the current local IP address for the router which is:
http://192.168.10.1
It tried to redirect to:
http://192.168.10.1/webpages/login.html
But that page wouldn't load/display at all.

If I can't access and use a device from the LAN then as far as I'm concerned, it's lost it's connection. Indeed the controller showed it as disconnected. It wouldn't respond to WAN pings either.
Did you ping the external DNS server to verify its WAN status? I did, not accessible.
What features have you configured on the controller? Nothing aside from RADIUS server, other settings are pretty much stock. No VPNs configured or in use.
Do you examine if there is any loop?
You mean a network loop? Yes, there isn't. There's one WAN connection from the router to the Fibre modem/ONT and a single LAN connection to my network switch. The topology diagram in Omada confirms this and *all* network hardware is Omada (router, switches, APs).

Agree it shouldn't happen, but it did. No recent modifications to config.
A ticket has been raised already and will follow up there.
