Release Notes:

New Features & Enhancements:

1. Support remote access via VIGI NVR (latest VIGI NVR firmware required, which can be referred to in VIGI NVR2016H/1016H(-16(M)P) 2008H/1008H(-8(M)P) Pre-Release Firmware (Released on Nov 26th, 2024)). Now VIGI IPC can be added by VIGI NVR that be in the public network.
2. Support motion recording mode. Different from event recording mode, motion recording mode can record movement in full screen.
3. Support RTMP (H264&G711codec only). RTMP helps power live video streaming and has played a key role in the evolution of internet video broadcasting. VIGI support platforms such as YouTube and user-defined live streaming server.
4. Support 802.1x. IEEE 802.1X authentication provides an additional security barrier for your intranet that you can use to prevent guest, rogue, or unmanaged users who cannot perform a successful authentication from connecting to your intranet. VIGI provides this new feature to connect your device to your network.
5. Optimize Active Defense module. One-click arming switch is available.
6. Update new web style. A brand new web design is introduced.
7. Optimize Password recovery features. If an IPC is bound to a TP-Link account, the password can be reconfigured via the VIGI APP by scanning a QR code.

Firmware Download:

Before the Upgrade

(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Beta firmware!

(2) Just in case, it's always recommended to save a copy of the camera Config file before upgrade or downgrade.
(3) You may follow the User Guide to upgrade your camera.

(4) The following beta firmware cannot be upgraded via TP-Link cloud access, please access the camera through the Web Management interface or VIGI Security Manager.
