Model: ER7206 (TL-ER7206)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.2 Build 20240618 Rel.63827

I am running a ER7206V1 with a glasfiber connection connected to the SFP port.
Lately i keep getting disconnected from the Fiber connection several times per day during a couple of minutes, then the connection is reastablished.

At some points the router doesn't even respond anymore, and i have to cut the power and restart it.

During the short interruptions, the dns is ok, but at some points the DNS is 0.0.0.0. The ISP has no troubles, i already checked that

I altready set the dns manually to 8.8.8.8 etc, but that doesn;t help

Its been working perfect for months, i have no clue what is happening, or how i can fix it

Hi @sandert

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Based on the log, it looks like a network fluctuation. As you can see it does not always disconnect but during scattered time. And suddenly populated at the same time.

You might wanna review this with your ISP.

If you believe it is a problem with the router, you can consider RMA.

I don't think it is a problem because if you have examined the physical wires and cables, nothing changed or touched recently and it suddenly behaves like this, it is likely to be the ISP or the modem/fiber. It is also not a problem with the hardware as far as I think.

RMA is the easiest way to rule out the problems on the router. For me, it has nothing to do with the router.
