Bridge Mode Question - I think
OK please don't shoot me down for not being very technical!
I have a home network with an internet connected GL.iNet GL-1800 router.
The router runs Wi-Fi on 5GHz and 2.4GHz and I have the a single SSID and password set for both.
The router runs DHCP.
This works fine.
I have structured cabling throughout my house with outlets in all of the rooms.
I have a TL-SG1016PE switch plugged into the GL-1800 and a few devices plugged into the ports on the switch directly which again all work fine.
I have 6 x EAP115 plugged into the switch along with an OC200 SDN Controller.
The EAPS are all configured with the same SSID and Password as the the GL-1800 albeit only on 2.4GHz of course.
This setup woks and I can get a WiFi connection all over the house and it 'moves' between APs without any real issues.
My question is this:
Can I configure the EAPs to just broadcast the SSID(s) from the GL-1800 and not have to have it manually set for each EAP?
I would like to set up the guest network via the GL-1800 and have the EAPS broadcast both SSIDs.
Is this possible?
I am also thinking of upgrading the TL-SG1016PE to a managed switch as I cannot see or manage it in the OC200 at the moment.
This does not really affect the above but would be nice to see the managed switch as well in the OC200.
