Model: EAP610
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.0

Yesterday, I had 2 customers call with the same issue. Only 1 of the 3 configured SSIDs will provide internet access. Prior to this, they worked perfectly. I will use one shop as the example. They have VLANs 10, 20 and 30. VLAN 10 is the Office network and it works perfectly for LAN connections with PCs, but when connecting to the Office SSID there is no internet access. VLAN 20 is the Guest SSID and while you can connect to it as well, there is no internet access. VLAN 30 is for the CC (Credit Card) SSID. Connecting to this SSID works perfectly.

In the network there is an ER605 router with 2 SG2008P switches connected to it. An EAP610 WAP is connected to each switch. ACLs are in place for the switch and the APs to keep the VLANs from accessing each other. The switch ports to the WAPs are configured for the ALL profile. Everything worked perfectly prior to yesterday, so kindly keep this in mind.

I connected to the nearest WAP using Guest and Office SSIDs with my laptop (no internet connection) and then pulled the plug on that WAP and connected to the other WAP with the same negative results. So the issue is not the WAP itself. It's somehow the configuration, but no changes have been made to the configuration for months and it had been working.

I've cycled the power on all devices including the cable modem. I've checked the configurations and compared them to other networks I manage and they are all the same. I'd say it sounds like a gateway or DNS issue, but the configurations are the same for all VLANs and the WIRED Office VLAN works, while the wireless one does not.

I'd appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

TP-Link support said the network was configured correctly. However, they said that there were EAP ACL rules set that were unnecessary, because the same rules in the switch would take care of the VLAN isolation. They suggested removing them and I did. All the SSIDs had internet access again. The best I can figure is that TP-Link put out a firmware update that broke the legitimate, but unnecessary, EAP ACL rules. By removing them the issue went away.
