Hi  @Camfj141

Does the modem support 2.5Gb?

Try to set the speed to a fixed instead of auto-negotiation.

DNS server tried any? Server of the speed test should be the nearest.

I require the following information:

Speed test result screenshot. You've tested it from the speedtest.net?

The firmware version of your 7412-M2. The latest one was released in Aug this year.

Disable IPv6 on both the router and the PC to make sure the test is done in IPv4 mode. Will you get any better speed?

Have you tried to connect the 1Gbps port? Will you be able to run full 1Gbps speed?

Can you show a picture of the physical connection from the modem port? In addition, what's the modem model number? And your previous router model.

  @Camfj141

I have the same issue - did you ever find a solution?

My gateway (ER7412-M2 v1.20) is running latest firmware and configured like this:

Connection type PPPoE
IP address from ISP
MTU and MRU are both set at 1492
VLAN is 911 - this is the Vodafone FTTP on City Fibre VLAN
VLAN priority is 0

Only IP v4 is set up

Locally, hardware acceleration is enabled (i.e. no QoS). Flow control is also enabled.

Local LAN-LAN transfers are at full speed, but interned speed test is 1/3 - 1/2 (350-420 mbps) posted speed. The Vodafone router delivers the quoted speed (910 mbps)

  @Woodae

Update:

I forgot the gateway from the controller and reset to factory settings.

Setting up the internet service, DHCP and the same service configurations as I had above. Speed test delivered the full 910mbps upload and download.

As soon as the gateway is adopted, with device defaults disabled so that settings from the gateway would overwrite the controller settings - immediately after adoption the speed test drops back to the 1/3 speeds.
