DHCP MAC modification BUG
Hello Everybody!
Here are the old bug that migrated from er6120 but still not fixed.
Config:
DHCP Server:
Starting IP 172.18.1.129
Ending IP 172.18.1.199
+128 IPs in DHCP Address Reservation (1~128)
+128 IP-MAC Bindings (1~128)
-
Enable ARP Spoofing Defense
-
Permit the packets matching the IP-MAC Binding entries only
-
Send GARP packets when ARP attack is detected (1000ms)
Bug description:
Modifying random IP-MAC in Address Reservation table and in IP-MAC Binding in ~50% of cases will caused this MAC will got NOT FIXED IP, but floating IP from Starting-Ending IP Range. In the other ~50% everything will goes ok! The problem will gone after 8411 reboot! Rebooting is needed but it tooks too much time.
Example:
IP 172.18.1.55 MAC 00-11-22-33-44-55 recorder in DHCP
now we changing MAC to 00-22-33-44-55-66 in Reservation table and in IP-MAC Binding (Anti-Arp Spoofing)
the result wil be 50/50:
1. User will got 172.18.1.55
2. User will got 172.18.1.129~199 before 8411 Rebooting!
I've tried to disable-enable DHCP, MAC-Binding - does not help.
Rebooting Only!
who faced with this problem else?
Best Regards!
