As mentioned, I had changed it from its default settings (auto) to 80 Mhz, after I changed that back it resolved it issues (at least for me, I haven't put it back to 80Mhz to see if the issues would return).

Anyhow, you can see and change that setting if is select your device for the device list, select "config" and look for "Radios" as shown below in the screenshot. (this setting can be set on per AP basis)

Sadly TP-LINK is aware of this issue and I was told there would be a fix shortly. I asked them to simply PULL the bad firmware off their update list for now. But I still continue to see my OC300 recommending it.

I have decided, my network is good for now so I just disregard the update noticed. Though the Firmware in the ER707-M2 VPN router still has some issues.

In my network I have ER8411, OC200, 33 eap's which are still increasing. Most are EAP225 Outdoor hardware version 1 and 3, and 14 EAP225 are connected wirelessly. Everything worked reliably for months until suddenly 6 started disconnecting. I have the radio set to automatic. I didn't see this thread because I didn't have any problems. On all EAP225-Outdoor(EU) I have firmware 5.1.6. In the coming days I will downgrade to 5.1.1 and move to software controller. As I went past the 33 EAP limit the OC200 controller started disconnecting and rebooting, I assume it is faulty.

theres a new beta firmware for the er707-m2, but i don't think it fixed the problem, even with alos a beta for the 225 outdoor (5.1.7) i think it has problemes, went back to 5.1.1 and everything ist okay again.

  @DACZ

hi at all with the WiFi disconnect problem.

did you use the WiFi optimization option after the update to the last version ?

I had also problems with the AP's after the whole setup with lasted FW even I had configured the WiFi with the system standards. After the optimization the WiFi was ok.

OC200 V1 ER605 v2.0 TL-SG2210P v5.20 EAP245(EU) v4.0 (1x) EAP653(EU) v1.0 (2x) Fritz!Box 7490 (DSL 100 / DS Lite tunnel) TL-SG3428 v2.0 (Standalone Mode + FB) TL-SG105E v5 (Standalone Mode + FB)

For me the WLAN Optimaztion isn't compatible with my AP's EAP225 Outdoor, EAP620HD. The issue is the mix of Gateway (ER707-M2 in my case) and the EAP225 firmware 5.1.6

My network is stable, so I just don't do updates anymore, not until TP-Link solves the issues. I am looking to switch to Ubiquity products in the future, and I work for an ISP and recommend and setup a lot of these networks to folks. Omada was my go-to product, but feel this issue has gone on way too long.

My home network on a couple of arces of property includes a ER707 router for it's 2.5G connectivity, 2.5G SG2210P switch, SG2008P switch, 2 EAP225 indoor units, 4 EAP225 Outdoor units and 2 EAP620HD's. I have 143 devices connected. The network is 100% stable without doing the 5.1.6 update. Update it and the AP's will run for about 24 hours and then drop. It much be a memory issue with the firmware. A POE reboot will bring it back to life. TPLink acknowleded that they are aware of the issue months ago. I asked if they would please pull the bad firmware from being available and they have not.

I get 2.5g up/down of internet traffic.

I switched from Ubiquiti to TPlink due to stability and excellent radio. I significantly reduced the number of AP devices, and the range is better. I have already replaced the OC200 with the OC300v1 and have the latest firmware version 1.28.2 Build 20250110 Rel.74960. Below are RAM/CPU graphs from two EAP225outdoor devices that have disconnected themselves in the last few hours.

In both devices, the disconnection occurred with almost 100% memory usage. Both are connected by cable.

I also have EAP225outdoor devices connected wirelessly, and they also disconnect. Load 0 clients, 2% CPU and 57% RAM. Suddenly, for no reason, the EAP disconnects. The advantage of Omada was stability, which was unattainable on Ubiquiti. I still have a dozen Ubiquiti devices, and I won't say good things about them, but TPlink is starting to go in the same direction. I noticed that EAP245 devices do not disconnect, even when heavily loaded. The problem is only with EAP225outdoor devices. The next step I will take is to connect these two EAP225out to the TP-Link SG2210MP switch.

When displaying the device map, a notification appears, "Enable LLDP to see the exact topology." When I enable EAP LLDP in the location settings, half of the devices disappear from the map. I wonder if somewhere in the settings, some checked box is causing the device to malfunction and disconnect the EAP :)

Tuesday

Firmware v. 5.1.10 - EAP225-Outdoor(EU) v3.0
and v. 5.1.7 - EAP225-Outdoor(EU) v1.0 fixed bugs and devices do not disconnect. Device memory is used correctly.

Do you have other EAP models? Or all are EAP225-outdoor?

If yes, does the issue happen on other EAP units?

Around how many wireless clients are there in the network?

Side note: please mention me to get a timely reply.

Updated to 5.1.6 last night on 4 of my AP's last night.... and this morning 2 of them are DISCONNECTED.

I was running 5.1.1 on my EAP225's with no issues... I will drop back ONCE AGAIN.

I really with TP-LINK would fix this issue!

I swapped out to a ER8411 Router which is so much better than the ER707M2

I upgraded my OC300 earlier in the week as well.

On the EAP225's (Indoor and outdoor) seem to have the same issue with the latest firmware... Dropping off the network.
