SFP+ WAN/LAN2: DHCP client setting IP failed
Hello,
When configuring the router via the controller, it is impossible to disable the SFP+ WAN.
As a result, I keep getting the error ‘SFP+ WAN/LAN2: DHCP client setting IP failed’.
Is there any other solution than setting the interface to a false fixed ip?
Regards
David

TP klink people have confirmed in a number of threads that the SFP+ WAN port on the ER8411 cannot be disabled, ever. As a result, regardless of what settings you give it, it will always generate at least one error such as the one you reported on bootup.
Mine is the same, i ignore it.
I also tried setting it to some random static, it still reports the error.
Its really a non-issue.

What is the firmware version of your ER8411? Is it the latest one? If not, please upgrade to the latest firmware. And what is your network topology? How many WANs do you have? Do you have any other advanced settings, like VPN or Link Backup?
