We will add more other features in 5.15, OC200 has limited hardware performance and cannot maintain so many features at the same time.

As stated in the notice, kindly stick with the current firmware version if the API is more important to you.

  @Vincent-TP Ok, so that leaves me with three questions:

1. Will TP-Link be providing security updates for the ones who don't want to lose OpenAPI?

2. Does TP-Link check with the community if the new features are wanted more then losing OpenAPI?

3. Which hardware controller will keep OpenAPI?

To give you an idea, there are a lot of home owners (and maybe even companies) who rely on the use of OpenAPI for their domotica or other systems.

TP-LINK is really really very strange. It seems they aim to be a serious vendor for SME networking, but they behave like an unresponsible no-name brand. Who else on the market will remove some features that are already avialble for a product suddenly? Have they realized how big trouble this will bring to their customers? And this is even not the first time they do such sh*t thing. Last time if I remember correct is the Speed Test feature. Shame on you!
