Negotiation timeout occured error when trying to connect using VPN clinet Shrewsoft

Hi! ,
I keep getting "negotiation timeout occured" continuously when trying to make the client to Lan VPN work.
Client : Shrewsoft
VPN : Ipsec
O/s : Windows 7 home premium
Setup is as specified from the tplink FAQ
Can some one please advise what needs to be done, I have already followed the instructions as provided via the tp link FAQ , it does not seem to be working .
my setup is windows 7 home premium -> linksys router -> internet ->tp-link router er6120 -> local Lan
