Roaming dead after upgrade to 5.14.26.1
Omada: Linux Controller / 5.14.26.1
Router: ER706W v1.0 / 1.1.0
Switch: SG2210P v5.20 / 5.20.1
AP: EAP650(EU) v1.0 / 1.0.15
Some time ago I described a problem with roaming ans WPA3 enabled. After disabling WPA3, roaming was working like a charm.
Now I upgraded to the official linux 5.14.26.1, since then, roaming is not working at all.
I can stand in front of the second AP with -77db, or -79db - its not switching to the second AP at all.
Could it be a bug?
Already tried to activate WPA3 again, to enable/disable AI roaming, 802.11k/v, 802.11r
Does anyone expirience same problem?
ps: my WIFI is working on AX with 160hz ch.width
Thanks in advance

Some Tests:
I switched everything to AUTO and did the KI WIFI optimization.
After this - if a device is connected to ER706W and I am going towards EAP650 , roaming is working REALLY fast. By ca. -45-50db I became reswitched.
BUT -> going back from EAP650 to ER706W - I can stand infront of the router with -76db , nothing happens.
weird!

Now, for the client who is unable to convert from AP to ER706W, have you tried other devices? Is this only happening to certain devices? Has this worked properly before?
Also, try adjusting the RSSI settings for the AP.Set the EAP650 signal strength to -60 dbm to disconnect the client if their signal strength falls below that threshold.
If the problem persists, please capture the WiFi packet on a MacBook so that we can look into it.

thank you
I dont like to use the RSSI TS, there are 2 points in the house, where it only can be connected to the eap650 with +-73db.
For testing I checked the -60 RSSI TS - it is working. But not like it ment to be. From er706w to eap650 the roaming is flawless, wifi man just vibrates once.
From eap650 to er70w after setting RSSI -> wifi just switches off for a second, or two , then it is connected to er706w, with -50db, so really good signal

I second this post. Roaming seems to have been impacted by the recent update. It is no longer seamless...

Will something happen in this thread? Could you open a ticket please, @Hank21

Do you enable fast roaming? You previously tested that adjusting the RSSI threshold might let you transition to the ER706W.Also, you should be aware that this has something to do with the device's mechanism. What are your expectations here? With no RSSI threshold set, but switching to the nearest devices when forwarding it?
Do you compare the performance of two distinct versions of the controller? Also, do you test various devices? Will they all have this problem? Can you try to capture the package so we can analyze it?
