Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.1.2

Hey,

I needed to reset my Omada ER605. I unplugged it for about 1minute, plugged it back and waited for the bootup. After System LED was blicking slowly, i hold reset button for 6 seconds until both Power and System LEDs were blicking fast, turned off and on. After this the Power LED is turned on (logically) and System LED blicking kinda normal.

I put the IP address ipconfig shows its connected to (not the printed one cuz it doesnt work lol) into URL, ping is coming from it but the site is not responding.
What should i do ?

Thanks for any ideas.

Solved that mystery! The issue was a cable which is somehow working fine for my colleague. The previous IP address was 169.254.79.150 (really strange lol). The printed one is working now idk what was the issue.

  @Ondy

169.254.79.150 is a link-local IP address.

Most probably your computer didn't receive an IP address from the ER605 DHCP server.

Hi @Ondy

Thanks for posting in our business forum.
When the cable is broken, it will lose Internet and DHCP IP. That's why 169.254.X.X IP was assigned to itself. The computer can assign itself an IP like that to suggest that there might be an issue with the cable or DHCP server. Check the connections and configs.

Good to know it is resolved by replacing the cable. wink

  @Clive_A
Heyy, just to inform you that it was not the ethernet cable. I had a connected rj45 from omada to RJtoUSB converter which we found out it doesnt work 100%. So now i just connect directly RJ45 from Omada to my PC without any converter.
