Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: V2_2.16.1_Build20240428(Beta)

Anyone else out there have WiFi issues when running an OC200 controller? Prior to finding and installing beta firmware V2_2.16.1_Build20240428(Beta), WiFi would just pause and resume. Yesterday, I installed release firmware v2_2.16.3 Build 20240620 thinking all must be well. Well it went right back to the same garbage as before. I had to give up and reload the beta and reconfigure everything.

I've only had two locations so far, with one system using EAP653s and the oither using EAP670s. WAP firmware isn't an issue as at least the EAP653 units were fine with both 1.0.12 and 1.0.14 on the beta firmware.

Oh, if i rememebr, it was recommended 802.11r be disabled, so I have been using that setting.

Is the OC200 junk or something? Really looking for help on this.

Hi  @tolcheen

What's the issue like exactly? Please provide more details, like low speed, or constant disconnection.

In the meantime, you may refer to this link to do some wireless optimization:

@Vincent-TP It is constant disconnections. Connect, disconnect, reconnect. You get maybe a good 5-10 seconds of connect then traffic either stops flowing or drop. Sometimes  DHCP will fail to pass though to the device. The OC200 is not providing DHCP and there is no Omada router.

Hi  @tolcheen

Does the issue only happen on the EAP670? or both EAP670 and EAP653?

How many wireless clients are there in the network in total?

What's the model number of the router?

Does this disconnection issue happen on all wireless clients?
