Weird no throughput, full signal WiFi issue
Hey all!
I have a weird issue with an EAP225-Wall that was installed in a home. It's a full omada system besides the ISP router/gateway and has worked well for over two years.
Last week they notified me they had no WiFi in the cellar, where the faulting AP was installed. This is the behavior:
- full WiFi signal but abysmall throughput (usually close to zero with tiny spikes in the kbit range, if at all)
- when you connect to one of the ports on the AP itself you do have full throughput
- the problem follows the AP, all cables are fine
- used different ports on the PoE switch that powers the AP as well
- I did a reset from the Omada controller and re-adopted, did a reset on the AP itself as well, but the problem remains.
Broken AP right? Well here's the kicker: if the AP is configured without the Omada controller, stand-alone, it functions fine. I'm baffled as to why that would work, but it does.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm missing here?
Thanks for your time!
Johan
