Based on this, if your model is 1.0 and revised to 1.30, then you can use it.

Re:Omada Switch Pre-Release Firmware (Released on Jun 11th, 2024)

  @Clive_A

Hi Clive,

I did the upgrade to my SG3428X, but after that the switch started to have the same problem I had months ago: all devices connected to the switch under VLAN different than the default don't get an IP, and even in case they get it, they have NO internet access.

Even the All profile to the EAPs don't work...

I had to bypass the switch and connect the EAPs directly to the ER605v2 I have as router.

So, I flashed back the previous 1.30 firmware and even the one before, but nothing changed... Still don't work...

I changed nothing to the configuration, ofc.

After that, I started playing around and I found that the Static Route on the Switch is empty, while I do remember there was a line before, maybe added by the Controller itself (I didn't add anything in this tab, for sure).

Could this be the reason?

How do we start the debug? Maybe a separate thread and maybe you want to see my config?

Let me know!

Thank you,

Fra

  @nicolati

Ok, I found the issue, but this was working before!!! :) Which means that this feature now is working correctly, I assume, and before it had a bug.

The issue was that the DHCP Legal Server where configured as the DHCP range of the IP the VLAN had to grab.

While, I suppose, the DHCP Legal Server (in a standard Controller configuration) is the router, right?

Thank you,

Fra

Not every. If you browse through the models, they are mainly switches with less than or equal to 28 ports.

I think you may wait for further news or releases about the 52-port switches. The forum will update that if there are any.

Re:Omada Switch Pre-Release Firmware (Released on Jun 11th, 2024)
2024-08-20 12:44:38 - last edited 2024-08-20 16:42:43

  @Clive_A  Regards,

I have a Switch JetStream TL-SG3428X(UN) V1 which had firmware TL-SG3428X(UN)_V1_1.0.12 Build 20230602, and in May I updated that Switch of mine to a new firmware version marked SG3428X(UN)_V1.30_1.30.0 Build 20231019, and the update went OK.

I recently found this thread where I saw that there is a latest firmware update with version SG3428Xv1_en_1.30.1_[20240531-rel66707] which I also updated and everything went OK, and the Switch works OK.

Now I'm wondering if it is the correct and latest official firmware for my device Switch TL-SG3428X(UN) V1, or is it just a Beta firmware, and is there a new and official firmware expected in the near future?

Thanks!

TRUST NO ONE, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!
