hi all,

This issue was fixed by the firmware released on September 2024.

For those still having this issue, please update the firmware version of the EAP units to the latest first.

Wish you a happy life and smooth network usage!

  @Vincent-TP

Hello

Despite the update, the issue stays here, i have two SSID, one with 802.11r and one without, and I have 2.4 Ghz stuck on the first same as before or network hanging, and same as other reports too

EAP650v1 : 1.1.0 Build 20240830 Rel. 50826

EAP610v1 : 1.3.0 Build 20240828 Rel. 82154

We really want to migrate our biggest site to have unified Omada gear, and not one site with Omada and the second with OpenWRT but we need same experience as before :)

 Hi TP link staff @Vincent-TP

I have found why it is broken by analyzing the /tmp/ath1.ap_bss and /tmp/ath11.ap_bss + frames in WPA2 without PMF

r0kh and r1kh tables are wrong, they contain only the iface mac. Example : 00:2B:4C:E1:DF:F1 iface contain r0kh 00:2B:4C:E1:DF:F1 and r1kh 00:2B:4C:E1:DF:F1, it is wrong.

According to hostapd source repository, the r1kh from source ap will be rejected cuz not in table, it is the same for r0kh.

r0kh/r1kh is the relationship declaration between AP. The more simple way is to do as Unifi, put wildcard r0kh and r1kh.

Hi  @mixman68

What do you mean by "i have a 2.4Ghz"?

Do you mean a 2.4G client, or all clients connecting to the 2.4G SSID failed to roam?

If this is only happening on one certian 2.4G client, please let us know what it is.

Also, what's the version of the controller you are using?

Hi  @mixman68

Did you update the firmware for your EAP?

Do you mean the issue still persists on your site?

Wish you a happy life and smooth network usage!

  @Vincent-TP

hi there are my versions and issue persists

there are the latest

EAP650v1 : 1.1.0 Build 20240830 Rel. 50826

EAP610v1 : 1.3.0 Build 20240828 Rel. 82154

controller : 5.15.8.2

for the other message, I retest and the client stuck on connected AP in 2.4ghz, I tested with a Linux client which supports 802.11r and I noticed failures in rxkh exchange so I go to the ap to find tables and I saw what i reported. If I connect to 5ghz first, it is the same, client stuck in 5ghz and fails to roam
