Omada Routers with openvpn , option to use a ca issued certificate e.g. lets encrypt.
Hi TP-Link
I have a feature request. that is to include the option to use a ca issue certificate on the routers open vpn solution , so I can avoid using a self signed certificate.
similar to when the router connect to remote vpn server.
I think the this request perhaps could be included all omada routers that support wireguard | open vpn server functionallity.

Hi @Trollen
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Please be specific about the request. Is this supposed to be implemented on server or client mode?
What would expect this to be added? Do you have an example?

Id like to see support for this, too.
Technically this is done by implementing support for ACME with DNS based validation, supporting the top 10 dns providers (cloudflare, google, route53, ...) as this allows valid certificates with private ips.

@Trollen to clarify the client client certificates from others openvpn servers can already be imported (openvpn client)
what I am missing is the ability to import a ca issue certificate as a replacement for the self signed certificate when the router ER706W runs with a openvpn server (server mode)
