Fixed IP not working
Fixed IP not working
For some reason its not possible to assign a fixed IP to new devices after update to latest firmware
It was possible previously but now for some reason its not.
DHCP Range is starting from ..10.20 so therefore fixed should be possible.
Restarting doesnt work.

Hi @flrwrzl
Could this cam already has fixed IP on it's own IP settings? So it's not using DHCP actually?

@Fae
Hello so its working now. I have never connected to the camera directly via IP on the WEB interface. There was a slider which was active "Static IP" and it took that DHCP IP what was assigned (...10.38) and set it in the camara settings as static.
Thank you for your help. Thanks.

Hi @flrwrzl
May I have the current hardware/firmware version of your Router and Controller?
We've seen a similar issue before and that was already fixed it via firmware update.
ER605 ER7206 - “Use Fixed IP Address” (DHCP Reservation) Doesn't Take Effect. [Thread Closed]

Hi @flrwrzl
Please have a try:
Go to Settings->Services->DHCP Reservation
Delete all entries here, and re-boot the controller;
Go back to Clients list and re-add the fixed IP rules.
We try these because I cannot see the same issue on my side. I suspect the controller has applied wrong entries but it did not show up correctly.

Hello, thank. I performed your suggestion and it worked to reconfigure all te fixed IP´s but the one which was not possible before is also not possible now.
Its funny because its a TP-Link Vigi C540 camara. Still shows the ...10.38 but I gave the camera the fixed ...10.4 IP.
May there be a problem with the Port#5? a problem with the camera?

I am also still suffering with devices not getting assigned their fixed IP's or loosing their fixed IP when the controller restarts.
I am running controller version v5.13.30.8 in a docker container (by MBentley) on a NUC running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, my gateway is an ER605 V2 on latest firmware.
When i follow steps as described by you, i can get the devices back their assigned IP, but they may loose them again if the device or the controller restarts.

Hi @Dynamo
What kind of the client devices you are testing? Do you have more details like Model, software version etc(like iPhone 13 iOS 17.4)

My network is a Er605 V2 gateway, a TL-SG2210MP and a TL-SG2428P, an EAP225, an EAP 245 and an EAP615
The devices that i need on fixed IP and are giving me the most headaches are an Intel NUC6CAYH running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS with Omada in MBentleys docker container and 2 Daikin Comfora airco's that i want to log and control from Home Assistant
Also, my raspberry pi 5 running Octoprint sometimes changes IP while it should be fixed

Hi @Dynamo
Is that possible you can show me a screenshot, that Intel NUC and 2 Daikin Comfora airco's are using wrong IPs (show up in Controller Client page)?
Note everytime you reboot the controller host, that will lead router to re-apply the whole settings. So please prevent the controller host from rebooting.
