ER605 x Huawei E3372h-153
Hello Community.
I cannot seem to connect the LTE Via USB.
- Does it matter that it's an E3372 h-153?
- Is there a manual which tells me if I have to take some special settings?
For information:
If the stick is connected to a Laptop, it opens a folder which has executable .exe.
To get a connection, you have to open the .exe from (Swisscom). (Check Screenshot)
When it's plugged in to the Router:
Always ask's to connect. Then receiving this error: The status of the Internet connection for the gateway's WAN port could not be changed.
Does anyone have a solution or an idea?
Thanks in advance.

- E3372h-xxx are shipped with “HiLink” firmware (version 22.x or newer). The LTE-stick appears as an Ethernet device, with own DHCP server, and runs a web portal on
192.168.8.1
for configuration and stats. This includes the fact that it’s “NATting” for you and has a built-in firewall, which is not configurable at all. - E3372s-xxx are shipped with a so called “Stick” firmware (version 21.x). The LTE-stick appears as two USB serial devices. One of them has an AT-interface that can use both PPP (slow) and NCM (faster). In this mode, the created interface displays the IP address assigned by the mobile network directly without NAT.
The ER605 expects the usb modem be of the 'stick' firmware variant, i.e a usb modem and thus it will not work with the E3372h variant.
I BELIEVE it may be possible to replace the firmware on some E3372 devices but this will be at your own risk.
It is not possible to post external links on this site but if you google "E3372h-153 modem mode" you may find further information

Hi @Lxiulast
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Please refer to the compatible list. https://www.tp-link.com/en/er605/compatibility/
So far it does not look compatible as it requires you to run the auto.exe before it starts to work. Well, on our router, it should be plug-and-play and parameters should be set on the LTE page.

@Clive_A
Thanks for your response.
Yes exactly, the LTE Stick has to run autostart.exe first.
Was just wondering if its a mater of the E3372s-xxx or E3372h-xxx.

@MisterW
Thank you for taking your time and the detailed response.
Since Swisscom has implemented their own software X the stick it has to run the autostart.exe first.
Ive tryed to runn an other Firmware on the Stick but its realy not that simple since its sold by swisscom and they bought it from huawai.
Semms like i need to buy it directly from Huawai.
Thanks :)
