PPTP VPN connection issue with Telstra ADSL

ISP : Telstra
We have been having an issue for a couple of weeks now where remote Telstra users (at either end of the tunnel) cannot establish PPTP connection until the R600VPN router is rebooted.
This is happening at random but on a weekly basis and no remote user is able to connect.
It is only Telstra accounts using the R600VPN but happening to 6-7 of our clients. Other customers using different providers do not have an issue, and Telstra clients using other VPN routers also do not have any issue.
Can anyone shed any light on this as Telstra don't want to know about it and short of replacing all the TP-Link boxes, I am running out of ideas?
