NTP Service
Hello,
Could we get the option to add the ntp server/service to the Tp Link ER routers? Making the router an ntp source for all other devices on the network.
Thank you for your consideration.

Hi,
Not just a DHCP option but we're the router has a configurable ntp server acting as a master clock to other devices on our network. We want to configure it to sync time from the Internet and then provide that time to our devices on the inside networks. Looks like Microtek released it in os7. Cisco gear calls ntp master. Firewalla takes it a step further and has something called ntp intercept. Where the firewall intercept ntp requests and answers it on the firewall/router.

What would be the difference between them?
Do you mean the router is supposed to open its NTP port and the DHCP option is filled with the router IP? The router syncs its time with the upstream NTP and then as the referrer, it replies to the NTP from the LAN?
It looks like what you described and asked for. NTP is not available because the router is not a NTP server.

Hi, yes I would like the router to have an ntp server built in. It was a request/suggestion and they moved it to this forum. As listed alot of other router perform this function today. The router acts as a ntp server and provides the device in the inside lan the ntp.
Thank you for considering the suggestion.
